Female Urologic Health

Our Clinic provides a full range of services for the maintenance of female urologic health.

Typical female urological problems include:

  • Leakage (Incontinence)
  • Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
  • Overactive Bladder (OAB), typified by symptoms including frequency of urination, urgency of urination, and waking at night to urinate
  • Pelvic Prolapse, which is the bulging, sagging, or falling of pelvic organs, resulting in spasms, pain, or recurrent urinary tract infections
  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Painful urination
  • Painful intercourse
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Difficulty in urination

These and other problems can result from childbirth, illness, surgery, the side effects of medication, aging, or other causes.

Women suffering from any of the above problems or symptoms should make an office appointment for an examination. That exam, along with a medical history, and, tests, if necessary, will allow Dr. Pettit to determine the cause of the problem. He can then work with the patient on an appropriate course of treatment.
